FIFA CONFEDERATIONS CUP 2009

Acting as a test event for procedures and plans for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 gave HBS an opportunity to become familiar with conditions in South Africa and four of the 10 stadiums that would be used at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

All 16 matches at the event were covered in High Definition 16/9, using a standard 15-camera plan. Methods and practices developed during HBS’ coverage of the FIFA World Cup™ were carried forward into the FIFA Confederations Cup coverage and as such the Dream Team concept used at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ was adopted by the two production teams.
